Terms of Service
Effective August 3, 2026
1. What GoodSeed is
GoodSeed is a faith-based chore, character & rewards web app operated from Florida, United States. It serves families, and — through GoodSeed Teams and GoodSeed for Organizations — coaches, teachers, churches, schools, and similar programs. By creating a family or group or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. Families, groups, parents, and children
- A GoodSeed family or group must be created and managed by an adult (18+). Parents are responsible for the profiles they create for their children and for who they share their family invite code and children's codes with.
- Coaches and teachers ("leaders") who run a Teams roster are responsible for having their school's or program's authorization to add children to it, and for who they share their group codes with.
- Children use GoodSeed only through a profile a parent or authorized leader created, under that adult's supervision.
- Keep your invite codes private. Anyone with a code can request access, so share codes only with people you trust.
3. Seeds and rewards
Seeds are play points inside your family. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred outside your family. Rewards are defined and fulfilled by parents — GoodSeed never provides, guarantees, or fulfills rewards.
4. Subscriptions and organization plans
- GoodSeed Plus (families) and GoodSeed Teams (groups, monthly or yearly) are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.
- GoodSeed for Organizations is billed per contracted student seat under the organization's agreement — by invoice (including ACH) or recurring subscription. Seat counts are contracted: an organization is billed for the seats it reserves, and can contact us to change them. Leaders covered by an organization pay nothing.
- You can cancel anytime in Settings → Manage billing; you keep paid features until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
- If a subscription or organization agreement lapses, data is not deleted — the family or group simply returns to the Free plan's limits.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse GoodSeed: no attempting to access other families' data, no interfering with the service, no uploading unlawful content, and no using the app to harm anyone. We may suspend access that threatens the service or other users.
6. Your content
Names, tasks, rewards, and photos you add belong to you. You give us permission to store and sync them solely to provide the service. Delete them anytime; deleting your family removes them from your device and our database.
7. Service provided "as is"
We work hard to keep GoodSeed reliable, but it's provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GoodSeed's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product grows. If changes are significant we'll note them in the app. Continuing to use GoodSeed after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Questions: info@goodseedkids.com.
